BACKYARD BABIES: New Album Title, Release Date Announced
February 19, 2006Sweden's BACKYARD BABIES have set "People Like People Like People Like Us" as the title of their new studio album, due on April 12 via Sony BMG. The follow-up to 2003's "Stockholm Syndrome" was produced by THE HELLACOPTERS frontman/ex-ENTOMBED drummer Nicke Andersson, whose "genius arrangements have raised the bar musically," according to a press release.
The new BABIES album marks the first time that BACKYARD BABIES guitarist Dregen and Andersson have worked together since THE HELLACOPTERS' "Payin' the Dues" CD in 1997.
"We will tour this record until we've taken the band another one or ten notches higher," the band said in a statement. "We've never been so eager to meet our fans again as we are now. Playing live is the only fuel this band needs to be able to continue being the antidote to a screwed up industry."

Having spent the better part of 2005 on tour with SOCIAL DISTORTION in both Europe and North America, BACKYARD BABIES' souvenir of their concert experience, "Live Live in Paris" (no, that's not a typo; it's the verb followed by the adjective),will receive a U.S. release on February 21 via Liquor and Poker Music. Recorded before a sold-out French crowd during the "Stockholm Syndrome" European tour, it provides a memorable snapshot of the booze-fueled gutter rock that's earned the quartet worldwide acclaim.
